Antique Balinese Hand-carved Amethyst Pendulum
From the mystical island of Bali, this beautiful hand-carved amethyst was fashioned into a pendulum, for wearing as a pendant, or use as a magical pendulum....or both! The stone is carved with an intricate leaf/feather design, and the sterling silver setting is hand-made, and unique to the stone. The S hook on the chain can be used to clasp the necklace or suspend the pendulum

About Pendulums
Pendulums have been used in divination since ancient times. It's actually very scientific! Pendulums are used in clocks, of course, but also in all kinds of modern machines.
Galileo found that each pendulum has a constant period. The period is the time in which a pendulum completes a single oscillation, i.e., returns to the position it was in at the beginning of the period. For example: The time required for the pendulum to move from its most extreme right position back to that point. Each pendulum is unique.
You can use your pendulum to find answers to questions. You can ask the pendulum yes/no questions about anything. Your life, love, health, career, money, whatever you like. The way the pendulum swings will indicate the answer. You can also use the pendulum to find things - in 3 dimensions wherever you are, or on a map!
Begin holding the chain with the suspended pendulum in your dominant hand, allowing it to hang loosely.
When the pendulum is still, ask the question “What is yes?” The pendulum will move, showing what “Yes” will look like. It may begin to move in a circle, clockwise or counterclockwise, or it may move from left to right, right to left, or forward and back.
Once you know what “Yes” looks like, you can ask your question.
Using the pendulum while looking for an object is similar. You can walk in an area and wait for it to indicate the presence of the object. Personally I have successfully used pendulums dowsing for tourmaline at mines, and for lost objects in my home. You can also use it over a map of an area if searching for something/anything.
