Who am I?

  • Conni St. Pierre, musician , artist, designer , creator, ephemera collector, and all-around intellectually curious person.  I’m your intrepid explorer in the Quest For Space.

    Here at The Outlook, a circa 1830 classic New England homestead in the mountains of Maine (that has doubled as a recording studio since 1980) I have collected interesting, beautiful, and phantastic stuff that fills every nook and cranny.

    I love:

    • science fiction, urban and high fantasy;

    • rock and roll, beat poetry, and classical music;

    • musical instruments both worldly and domestic (and I play or attempt several );

    • gems and minerals, which are prolific in these mountains — especially tourmaline;

    •  vintage cool fashion like the 70s London street markets I used to haunt;

    • cooking on my old wood cookstove in the farmhouse kitchen;

    • myth and magic;

    • ancient history and mystery;

    • indigenous and ancestral traditions;

    • swimming in mountain lakes and waterfalls;

    • collecting stray and feral dragons disguised as cats;

    • and all those dreams of things I’ve forgotten but get flashes of in deja vu.

    I’m addicted to:

    • Mango fruit bars

    • Tash Sultana

    • Selah Sue

    • Charles de Lint books

    • Flower essences

    • Silk long johns

    • Good Food Store pumpkin whoopie pies

    • Sweet potato chili

    Formerly addicted to:

    • Seaweed snacks

    • Massive Attack

    • Portishead

    • Star Trek sequels

    My curiosity spills over into descriptions of the unusual things I have on offer for sale, whether made by me or specially curated for this Quest.  If something is destined for you, you’ll know it when you see it. And you can often read all about it. Or at least what I know about it, and why it tickled my fancifulness, or juiced my curiosity!
